Zorch Radio Episode 203: Ice Challenge Alternatives
Zorch Radio Episode 203: Ice Challenge Alternatives
Airdate: Thursday, August 21st, 2014
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has taken over the Internet over the past couple of weeks; heightening awareness about Lou Gehring’s Disease, raking in millions of dollars in charitable donations, and soaking people with ice water. Doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is cool, it’s viral, it’s the hip thing to do! But what will come next? So tonight, we at Zorch Radio had to ask: what is going to be the next Ice Bucket Challenge?
To all the Invaders who tuned in at Real Punk Radio on Thursday night we popped the question and we got back some great, and questionably great, answers! Brent had tons of ideas including chugging beer to raise awareness and donations towards hangover cures, as well as the Ebola challenge which he didn’t elaborate on. Keenan suggested a sulfuric acid challenge, DJ Hodaddy said we should poop in each other’s toilets and dumb the contents over our heads – tons of great ideas! Let’s see which one ends up on Youtube next!
Aside from our big discussion of the night, we also made a HUGE announcement! Over the past few weeks on the show we’ve announced that the 2nd Annual Zorch Invasion will be taking over Slim’s Last Chance in Seattle and now we’re slowly releasing the names of the bands scheduled to play that night. Last week Graveyard Shift was revealed as our headliner, and tonight we are proud to announce that….. THE LOAD LEVELERS WILL ALSO BE PLAYING THE 2ND ANNUAL ZORCH INVASION ON OCTOBER 10TH! Keep tuning in to Zorch Radio each week to hear more updates about the upcoming Invasion taking place on Friday October 10th.
