Our friends Reverend Jack, Gramps, and Slim of the Bishops Car Club came in to talk about their 12th annual Blessing of the Cars in this episode. Every Father’s Day, the these guys claim a portion of Seattle’s Carkeek Park with 50 or 60 other cars, a generator, a PA, and a few bands. Whiskey Dick Mountain played this and we brought some turntables to spin some wax. The tradition at this event is for Rev Jack to baptize the cars in a warm domestic lager while raising money for a non-profit. If you weren’t able to make it to the event, this year donations were being accepted for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
